Walking Tour

  • Museum Station Sydney, NSW, 2000 Australia (map)

Ever wondered what lies beneath Sydney’s City Circle?

Join the UDA on 26 February 2026 for an underground journey to discover the stories behind the hidden tunnels and missing platforms of Sydney's nearly century-old rail loop. Led by urban designer, architect, and USyd adjunct senior lecturer Dr Michael Kahn, the guided tour will explore historic design decisions that shape our daily lives today and how the stations formed the backdrop for social upheaval - including a gun battle that changed Australia’s relationship with alcohol.

Led by urban designer, architect, and USyd adjunct senior lecturer Dr Michael Kahn, this guided walking tour explores how planning and design have shaped the City Circle and the city we move through every day.
